Presentación de la revista Catauro 22, número dedicado a la cultura del huracán en Cuba

La Fundación Fernando Ortiz invita a la presentación de la revista Catauro 22. En esta oportunidad dedicamos un número monográfico a la cultura del huracán en Cuba.

La revista reúne una serie de ensayos y debates sobre la influencia del huracán en la economía, meteorología, historia, artes, tradiciones. Otros trabajos de corte teórico abordan temas desde la antropología y la arqueología, como son los casos de la relación entre arquitectura y huracán, los petroglifos, y la simbología del huracán en la cultura de las poblaciones originarias.

La revista asume la obra fundadora de Fernando Ortiz, El huracán, su mitología y sus símbolos, para valorar la identidad y la cultura de los cubanos.

Presentarán esta edición Alfredo Guevara, presidente de la Casa del Festival del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, y Miguel Barnet, presidente de la Fundación Fernando Ortiz.
