El sábado 2 de marzo, en el marco de la 22 Feria Internacional del Libro en Cuba, se presenta el libro de la historiadoraarqueóloga Silvia Hernández Godoy: Patrimonio arqueológico aborigen de Matanzas.

La presentación, a cargo del historiador de la ciudad Ercilio Vento, se realizará a las 10:00am en la sala El Peregrino de la ciudad de Matanzas (Calle Santa Teresa e/ Milanés y Contreras, Matanzas).


Silvia Hernández Godoy (Matanzas, 1971) Licenciada en Historia y Máster en Historia de Cuba, América y el Caribe, en la Universidad de la Habana. Ha publicado estudios en revistas cubanas y extranjeras y en los libros El castillo de San Severino: insomne caballero del puerto de Matanzas, Ediciones Matanzas, (2006); El urbanismo temprano en la matanzas intrarríos (1693-1840), Ediciones Matanzas (2008) y Los estudios arqueológicos y la historiografía aborigen de Cuba (1847-1922), Instituto Cubano de investigación cultural “Juan Marinello”, La Habana (2010). Por su labor investigativa ha recibido numerosos reconocimientos.
